On December 26, 2025, at 1456 hours, the Department of Public Safety was notified of a fire alarm activation at the Five Seasons Sports Club. A Public Safety Officer, along with the Edgewood Fire Department responded to the alarm. Edgewood Fire Department investigated the alarm and determined that it was activated by construction work taking place inside the building. The alarm was determined to be false and the fire alarm system was reset.
On December 25, 2025, at 0355 hours, the Department of Public Safety was notified of a fire alarm activation in Murphy Hall. A Public Safety Officer, along with the Edgewood Fire Department responded to the alarm. Edgewood Fire Department investigated the alarm and was unable to determine the cause. The alarm was determined to be false and the fire alarm system was reset.
On December 6, 2025, at 2048 hours a Thomas More University dorm resident called to notify the Department of Public Safety that his dorm window had been broken by what appeared to be an icy snowball. Investigation showed that three non-Thomas More University affiliated individuals had been visiting friends at Ackerman Hall, and as they departed they began packing and throwing snowballs in the area adjacent to Ackerman Hall. At 2001 hours, one of the individuals threw a snowball, which had apparently been laden with ice and thrown with enough force that it broke the window that it struck. Facilities personnel repaired the broken window. Due to no evidence of ill intent and lack of clarity on which individual threw the offending snowball, no further action was taken.
On December 3, 2025, at 0523 hours, Public Safety Officers were alerted to a security alarm activation in the Five Seasons Building. Public Safety Officers, along with Lakeside Park/Crestview Hills Police responded to investigate. The alarm was caused by an employee arming the security system without realizing that another employee was present in the building.
At approx. 1335 hours on November 25, 2025, a Thomas More University faculty member contacted the Department of Public Safety and relayed that a student had emailed him, stating that he [the student] had missed a class due to having an epileptic seizure earlier in the day at approximately 1000 hours. Public Safety Officers were able to locate the student at his dorm, and due to the student's dazed state and his complaints of injuries consistent with a fall, requested assistance from Emergency Medical Services. Edgewood Fire Department and EMS responded and evaluated the student, who refused transport for further evaluation at a medical facility.
On November 23, 2025, at approximately 0422 the Department of Public Safety was alerted to Edgewood Fire Department responding to Ackerman Hall due to a 911 call reporting smoke emiting from the building. The caller had stated that she had seen smoke coming from the building 30 minutes prior to calling emergency services. A Public Safety Officer conducted a walkthrough of the Ackerman Hall and met with Edgewood Fire Department personnel. At time there was not sign of smoke or indicators of a fire inside or outside of Ackerman Hall, nor was any fire alarm activated. Edgewood Fire Deparment determined that the call was unfounded.
On November 20, 2025, at approximately 1828 hours, the Department of Public Safety was alerted to a person yelling near the front entrance to the Administration Building. Upon investigating, the yelling was found to be coming from the rear of the Administration Building. Public Safety Officers located the source of the yelling which was coming from an outside vendor employee who was yelling at another outside vendor employee. Public Safety Officers observed the verbal altercation become physical when one of the employees began to physically strike the other. Public Safety Officers immediately contacted 911 and requested police respond to campus. Lakeside Park/Crestview Hills Police, along with Edgewood Police responded to campus. Lakeside Park/Crestview Hills Police conducted interviews and is handling the investigation.
On November 19, 2025, at 527 am, Public Safety Officers were alerted to a security alarm activation in the Five Seasons Building. Public Safety Officers, along with Lakeside Park/Crestview Hills Police responded to investigate The alarm was caused by an employee who was opening the building and failed to properly disarm the security system.
On November 16, 2025, at approximately 1130 hours, the Department of Public Safety was alerted to a medical emergency at Republic Bank Field. Public Safety Officers responded and located a youth football player with an arm injury. Edgewood Fire/EMS was summoned to respond. Edgewood Fire/EMS responded and transported the patient to an area hospital for treatment.
On October 17, 2025, at approximately 1855 hours, Public Safety Officers were alerted to a person having a medical issue outside Griffin Plaza. Upon arrival, Public Safety officers located a youth child who bystanders reported had been choking. Public Safety Officers conducted an assessment and summoned Edgewood Fire/EMS to respond as a precaution. Public Safety Officers noted the youth child was no longer choking and was talking and breathing at a normal rate. Edgewood Fire/EMS arrived and conducted a patient assessment. The guardian of the child elected not to have Edgewood Fire/EMS transport the child to an area hospital for further evaluation.
On October 16, 2025, at approximately 1030 am, a student came to the Department of Public Safety office reporting a medical emergency. EMS was immediately summoned while Public Safety Officers contacted a patient assessment, gathering information for EMS. Campus Health Services was also contacted and responded to assess the student. Edgewood Fire/EMS arrived and transported the student to an area hospital.
On October 13, 2025, at approximately 2343 hours, the Department of Public Safety was contacted by a residential student. The student received a piece of letter in the mail and was concerned over its contents. Public Safety Officers responded and spoke with the student and reviewed the letter. The student did not know the sender of the letter and was concerned because the letter included some newspaper articles they felt could be considered threatening in nature. The letter was non-descript and did not contain any content specific threats toward the student. The student wished to involve the police and at their request Lakeside Park/Crestview Hills Police were contacted and responded. Lakeside Park / Crestview Hills Police spoke with the student and took an incident report.
On September 17, 2025, at 1712 hours, the Department of Public Safety was alerted to an individual having a medical issue at Republic Bank Field. Public Safety Officers responded and located a person lying on the playing breathing but unresponsive to verbal direction. Information received from bystanders was that the person had a seizure. Public Safety Officers performed treatment until Edgewood Fire/EMS arrived and took over care of the patient. The patient ultimately regained full consciousness and refused further treatment from EMS or transportation to a local hospital.
On November 11, 2025, at 1350 a Public Safety Officer was conducting a walkthrough of Five Seasons sports club when the fire alarm activated. The Public Safety Officer evacuated the building, and Edgewood Fire Department responded and investigated the alarm. Edgewood Fire Department determined the alarm was false.
On October 28, 2025, public safety officers were alerted to a physical altercation in the Connor Convocation Center. Upon arival the public safety officers found one party present and recieving medical attention for a minor injury from Thomas More University's athletic training staff and the other involved party had departed campus. Edgewood EMS responded and confirmed that the injured party did not want further medical evaluation or care. Edgewood Police department responded and took the injured party's accout of the incident. During the subsequent investigation, public safety was able to confirm that a physical altercation had taken place between two students. Neither party elected to press charges against the other. The matter was referred to the Dean of Students for potential disciplinary action.
On October 30, 2025, at 0220 hours, the Department of Public Safety was notified of a fire alarm activation in Murphy Hall. Public Safety, along with the Edgewood Fire Department responded to investigate the alarm. The fire alarm system indiated a smoke head actication in room 212. The Edgewood Fire Department investigated the alarm and was unable to determine the cause. The alarm was determined to be false and the fire alarm system was reset.
On October 24, 2025, at 0941 hours, the Department of Public Safety was notified of a fire alarm activation in Murphy Hall. Public Safety officers, along with Edgewood Fire Department responded to Murphy Hall to investigate. The cause of the alarm was a smoke detector activation in the mechanical room. Public Safety officers investigated and determined the alarm was false. Due to this being a repeat alarm, the Edgewood Fire Department was disregarded and did not respond to the scene.

On October 7, 2025, at 0935 hours Public Safety was alerted of a fire alarm activation at Ackerman Hall. Public Safety Officers, along with Edgewood Fire Department responded to investigate the cause of the alarm. Upon investigation, the alarm was determined to be false.
On September 25, 2025, at 2015 hours, the Department of Public Safety, along with Edgewood Fire/EMS and Lakeside Park - Crestview Hills Policeresponded to a fire alarm activation at the Five Seasons Building. Edgewood Fire/EMS investigated the alarm and determined it to be a false alarm. The fire alarm system was reset and building operations resumed.
On September 19, 2025, Public Safety was alerted to a student who was having an emotional crisis. Public Safety responded, along with Lakeside Park - Crestview Hills Police and made contact with the student. Lakeside Park-Crestview Hills Police spoke with the student at length and determined the student was having a rough day and no immediate mental health action was warranted. Public Safety provided the student with the varous mental health resources available to them on campus. Situation handled, no furhter action needed.
On September 14, 2025, Public Safety was contacted by the parent of a student requesting a wellbeing check on their student. The parent expressed concerns with their students emotional state and requested Pubic Safety make contact and check on the student. Public Safety made contact with and spoke with the student. Public Safety found the student in a stable mindset and put the student in touch with their parents.
On September 10, 2025, the Department of Public Safety was contacted by a student who reported damage to their vehicle. The student's vehicle was parked in the parkinglot of Stallmeyer Hall. During the subsequent investigation, public safety was able to determine the damage was a result of a hit skip vehicle accident. Public safety contacted Lakeside Park-Crestview Hills who responded and is handling the investigation.
On September 10, 2025, public safety officers were alerted to a physical altercation occurring in Selier Commons. Upon arrival all parties involved in the altercation had dispersed and left the area. During the subsequent investigation, public safety was able to confirm a physical altercation took place between two students. Those students were identified and the matter was referred to the Dean of Students for potential disciplinary action and the Lakeside Park-Crestview Hills Police Department for potential criminal action.
On September 9, 2025, at 1400 hours, Public Safety was notified of a student possibly having an emotional crisis. A Public Safety Officer responded, met with the student, provided needed resources to assist them with their situation based on their level of need and confirmed follow up care.
On September 8, 2025, at 1742, the Department of Public Safety was notified that a resident of Murphy Hall was having a seizure. A Public Safety officer contacted and requested EMS respond to Murphy Hall. Edgewood Fire/EMS responded assisted and the resident was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and care.
On September 2, 2025, 1742 hours, the Department of Public Safety was notified of Edgewood Fire/EMS responding on campus near Howard Hall. A Public Safety Officer responded and found a student had a seizure in their dorm room and had been assisted by their roomate who had also called 911. Edgewood Fire/EMS transported the student to an area hospital for further evaluation and care.
On September 2, 2025 at 1449 hours, The Deparment of Public Safety recieved a report of a student having a siezure in the Thomas More University Library. Public Safety Officers notified the TMU Nurse and responded to the scene. There they made sure that the student was not at risk from falling or choking and guided the responding Nurse, Emergency Medical Services, and Lakeside Park/Crestview Hills Police Officer to the student's location. After an initial evaluation, EMS transported the student to an area hospital for further evaluation and care.
On August 27, 2025, at approximately 21:22 hours, Public Safety offices were notified of a fire alarm activated inside Stallmeyer Hall. Public Safety offices responded and assisting with evacuating students and investigating the cause of the alarm. The source of the alarm was determined to be a smoke alarm activation in room 310. Upon investigation, there were no signs of smoke or fire inside the room. The Edgewood Fire Department arrived and confirmed the alarm to be false. Fire department officials reset the fire alarm system and students were permitted to return to their rooms.
On August 24, 2025, at approximately 2116 hours public safety officers were notified of a trespassing incident that occurred in Murphy Hall. A non-resident of Murphy Hall and student at TMU gained access to the dorm and was observed using the computer in the student lounge area. An RA, who did not recognize this person as a resident of Murphy Hall made contact with this person. The RA confirmed the person was a student at TMU but not a resident of Murphy Hall. The RA requested this person to leave the dorm and they complied without incident. The RA directed the person to the computer lab in the Saint's Center.
On August 23, 2025, the Department of Public Safey was alerted to a medical emergency at Five Seaons. Upon arrival public safety officers were notified a juvenile in pool area had experienced a seizure. Edgewood Fire/EMS arrived and conducted an evaluation. The parents of the juvenile declied transportation to an area hospital.
On August 19, 2025, at approximately 0030 hours, Public Safety Officers observed a student park in the Observatory parking lot engaging in activity in violation of Saint's Student Standards. Public Safety Officers addressed and resolved the issue. The matter was forwarded the information to the Dean of Students.
On August 17, 2025, public safety officers overheard a loud arguement coming from the Stallmeyer Hall parking lot. Public safety officers responded and found two students verbally arguing over property. Public safety officers were able to de-escalate the situation and dispurse the parties invovled.
On August 16, 2025, at 0800 hours public safety officers observed a parked vehicle along Renaissance Drive behind Ackerman Hall. The vehicle appeared to have been struck by other vehicle. Public safety officers contacted the owner who confirmed their vehicle had in fact been struck. The collision is believed to have occurred some time between 1530 hours on August 15, 2025, and 0700 hours on August 16, 2025. Lakeside Park-Crestview Hills Police were contacted and responded. Lakeside Park-Crestview Hills Police took a report (25-5170) and is handling the investigation.
On August 16, 2025, at approximately 2230 hours, public safety officers were notified of a possible student injury in Ackerman Hall. Upon arrival, public safety officers found a student had sustained an ankle injury. This student had injuried their ankle earlier in the day while playing basketball. Edgewood Fire/EMS responded and conducted a patient evaluation and recommended the student be transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The student decled transport and treatment from EMS.
On July 30, 2025, at 1532 hours, a visitor to campus reported damage to their vehicle. According to the complaintant, when they exited Cabrini Hall they opened the back door of their vehicle to place items inside the vehicle. When the complaintant closed the door the back window of the vehicle shattered. Public Safety officers responded and assisted the complaintant in cleaning up the glass from the vehicle and surrounding area.
On July 15, 2025, at 1646 hours, a report of vehicle damage was reported to the Department of Public Safety. A student reported a small crack in the windshield of their vehicle. The student reported not seeing the damage when they parked their vehicle and was unsure how it got there. Upon investigation and review of security camera footage there was no indication of criminal activity. Lakeside Park-Crestview Hills Police responded and took an incident report.
On June 8, 2025, the Department of Public Safety received a report of damage to a vehicle in the area of Griffin Plaza. Upon investigation it was learned a vehicle was parked in the travel portion of the roadway in front of the entrance gate to Griffin Plaza. An entrance gate had been unsecured by an employee working for a third party vendor who rented the turf/track for an event. At some point, a strong wind blow the unsecured gate open which swung around and impacted the rear of the complaintants vehicle causing very minor damage to the right rear tail light. Lakeside Park-Crestview Hills Police responded and took an incident report.
On May 30, 2025, the Department of Public safey received information of an injury that occurred during a football event at Griffin Plaza. Public Safety responded to incident only to find the incident had occurred fifteen minutes prior to notification and the involved parties had left the scene. This incident was handled by the football coaching staff and the on-duty athletic trainer.
On May 29, 2025, at 0357 hours, the Department of Public Safety was alerted to a fire alarm activation at the Barnwood Facility. The notification was for a water flow alarm. Public Safety officers, along with the Edgewood Fire Department responded. Upon arrival and investigation it was discoverd a pipe had burst. The water was shut off to the building and TMU Facilites began the process of clean up and repairs.
On May 17, 2025, the Department of Public Safety was alerted of a fire alarm activation in Stallmeyer Hall. Public Safety officers responded and learned the smoke detector in room 115 had activated. Public Safety officers investigated and found no trouble in room 115 or the rest of the building. Edgewood Fire Department responded and confirmed the alarm to be a false activation.
On May 14, 2025, at approximately 1245 hours, Public Safety recevied a report of a fire alarm on campus in zone 133, in the Academic Center. The Edgewood Fire Department and Public Safety Officers responded, conducted an investigation and determined the alarm to be a false alarm.
On May 14, 2025, at approximately 1145 hours, Public Safety recevied a report of a fire alarm on campus in zone 133. No other specfics were provided. Upon investigation it was determined the alarm was coming from the Academic Center. The Edgewood Fire Department and Public Safety Officers responded and confirmed the alarm to be a false alarm.
On May 2, 2025, at 1100 hours, the Department of Public Safety received a report of a male in the women's bathroom in the Connor Convocation Center. The Director of Public Safety conducted an investigation into the report. During the investigation, it was discovered the male subject observed in the women's bathroom was an employee assigned the Department of Facilites - house keeping. The male subject was conducting their duties and was in the women's restroom clearning at they time they were observed to be in the women's restroom.
On May 1, 2025, the Department of Public Safety received a report of people trapped in the elevator in the Academic Center. Public Safety Officers responded and confirmed the elevator was stuck between floors with two individuals still inside. Public Safety Officers made the required notifications to the Department of Facilites who notified the elevator service provider. The elevator service provider responded and was able to reset the elevator allowing the two individuals to exit the elevator without incident and unharmed.
On April 30, 2025, the Department of Campus Safety recevied a report of a theft from the Veteran's Room located in the Administration Building. A box of popcorn, valued at $40 had been taken from the room sometime between April 22 and April 28, 2025. The Director of Campus Safety took the report and is handling the investigation which remains on-going.
On April 27, 2025, at 1205 hours, Campus Safety personnel were alerted to a fire alarm at Ackerman Hall. Edgewood Fire Department responded and after an investigation determined the alarm to be false. Edgewood Fire Department incident number 25-0613.
On April 13, 2025, at approximatley 0840 hours, a student reported a theft from his vehicle. The student reported his vehicle was parked along Observatory Drive and during the overnight hours an unknown invidual(s) had gone through the vehicle and stole some items. Lakeside Park/Crestview Hills Police were notified and responed to take the report and handle the investigation.
On April 4, 2025, at approximatley 1720 hours, Campus Safety Officers were alerted to a fire alarm activation at the Saint's Center. Edgewood Fire Department responded and determined it was smoke from the grill in the Food Lab that had activated the alarm. Edgewood Fire Department incident number 25-0523.
On April 8, 2025, at approximatley 2130 hours, Campus Safety Officers were alerted to a fire alarm activation at the Saint's Center. Edgewood Fire Department responded and determined it was smoke from the grill in the Food Lab that had activated the alarm. Edgewood Fire Department incident number 25-0539.
On March 30, 2025, at approximately 1410 hours, Campus Safety Officers were alerted to a medical emergency on the playing surface at Griffin Plaza. Upon arrival, Campus Safety Officers learned two soccer players had collided resulting in one of the players soccer receiving a head injury. Edgewood Fire/EMS responded and transported the player to an area hospital.
On March 25, 2025, at 2103 hours, a student became disorderly with Campus Safety Officers while they were conducting parking enforcement activities. The students actions and langurage toward the Campus Safety Officers were in violation of the Saint's Code of Conduct. The matter documented and turned over to Student Conduct.
On March 23, 2025, at 1225 hours, Campus Safety Officers assisted the Department of Housing with a dorm room search. During the search, multiple items were located that violated the Saint's Code of Conduct and the Resident's Life Code of Conduct. Matter turned over to Housing and Student Conduct.
On March 19, 2025, at approximately 2304 hours, Campus Safety Officers were alerted to a tree down between the Saint's Center and Marian Hall. The tree had fall as a result of a strong thunderstrom that had gone through the area. Campus Safety Officers cordoned off the area and notified Grounds Maintenance who removed the tree the next morning.
On March 17, 2025, at approximately 2018 hours, Campus Safety Officers recevied a report of an injuried student at the Connor Convocation Center. When Campus Safety Officers arrived they learned a student had dropped a weight on their foot. Edgewood Fire/EMS responded to the scene and transported the patient to an area hospital.
On March 11, 2025, at approximately 1029 hours, Campus Safety Officers received a report of a fire alarm at Stallmeyer Hall. Upon arrival campus safety personnel learned the alarm was set off by a work crew who was working in the building. Edgewood Fire Department responded and confirmed the alarm was false.
On March 3, 2025, at approximatley 2025 hours, Campus Safety Officers a student reported they were being harrassed or bulling by another student. The student disclosed the specfics of the bulling behavior to campus safety officers. Campus Safety Officers took the students information and statement and turned it over to the Student Conduct.
On March 4, 2025, at approximately 1320 hours a student at Thomas More University came to the Office of Campus Safety to appeal a parking citation. The student was referred to MYTMU and instructed on how to file the appeal through the MYTMU site. The student, seemingly unhappy with the citation and appeals process became aggressive in his words and actions taking a fighting demeanor toward Campus Safety personnel. Campus Safety personnel were able to de-esculate the situation. The student was asked to leave and eventually did so. Matter was turned over to the Director of Student Conduct.
On February 27, 2025, at approximately 1400 hours, Campus Safety Officers were alerted to a fire alarm activation in Stallmeyer Hall. Upon arrival, Campus Safety Officers learned a spinkler head had been activated on the third flow of the building. Edgewood Fire Department responded and upon further investigation it was learned there was no fire and the spinkler activation was the result of human error.
On February 25, 2025, at approximately 1830 hours, the Department of Campus Safety responded to a medical complaint at CCC. Upon arrival, Campus Safety officers learned an individual had sustained a head injury. Edgewood Fire/EMS responded and transported the pateint to an areas hospital.
On February 22, 2025, while reviewing CCTV footage Campus Safety Officers observed individuals helping themselves to Java City's coffee bar after hours. The individuals were associated and attending an event in the Academic Center. The idenfity of these individuals was not able to be determined.
On February 23, 2025, at approximatley 2015 hours, the Department of Campus Safety responded to Stallmeyer Hall for an emotional crisis. Campus Safey officers, along with officers from Lakeside Park/Crestview Hills Police made contact with the individual. The individual agreed to be transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatement. Fort Mitchell Fire transported the individual to the area hospital.
On February 21, 2025, at 1445 hours, the Department of Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm at Murphy Hall. Upon investigation it was learned the Department of Facilites was working on the buildings water system which caused a water flow alarm. Edgewood Fire Department responded and confirmed the false alarm causd by the work be done by the Department of Facilites.
On February 15, 2025, at approximtely 1545 hours, the Department of Campus Safety received information a vehicle was in Observatory Lake. Upon arrival, Campus Safety Officers learned an unoccupied vehicle rolled from a parking space across the drive and grassy area into the lake. No one was injuried as a result of this incident. On January 28, 2025, at approximately 2025 hours, while conducting rounds Campus Safety Officers observed three vehicles with obscene and/or offensive markings on the vehicles. These markings were drawn in the dust/dirt on the vehicles. The markings did not create any actual damage to any of the vehicles and were able to be removed by simply whipping the dust/dirt off the vehicles. The owners were notified. Incident report was taken by the Depatment of Campus Safety.
On January 26, 2025, the Department of Campus Safety took a theft report. Employees working at the Food Lab reported a student took items of food from the Food Lab without paying for them. During the investigation conducted by the Department Campus Safety, the student was identified. The information was turned over to the Office of Housing and Residence Life for disiplinary action.
An elderly driver, believing she was traveling on Thomas More Parkway turned into the parking lot of CCC. The driver then drove onto and across the sidewalk in front of CCC. As the driver made the right turn in front of the Saint’s Center to travel toward Ackerman Hall, the vehicle became stuck on a landscaping rock. Lakeside Park Crestview Hills Police responded and took an incident report. A family member arrived and took the elderly driver home.
