On August 27, 2025, at approximately 21:22 hours, Public Safety offices were notified of a fire alarm activated inside Stallmeyer Hall. Public Safety offices responded and assisting with evacuating students and investigating the cause of the alarm. The source of the alarm was determined to be a smoke alarm activation in room 310. Upon investigation, there were no signs of smoke or fire inside the room. The Edgewood Fire Department arrived and confirmed the alarm to be false. Fire department officials reset the fire alarm system and students were permitted to return to their rooms.
