The Institute for Career Development and Graduate School Planning (ICG) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student worker to assist with a variety of initiatives aimed at supporting student career development. This position offers hands-on experience in a professional setting and is ideal for students interested in career services, event coordination, research, or communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and office organization
Design and create flyers, posters, and promotional materials for upcoming events
Research current career trends, job search strategies, and interview techniques
Assist in scheduling and preparing for events and workshops
Review and provide feedback on student resumes and cover letters
Guide fellow students in internship and job search processes
Maintain and organize the Career Closet, ensuring items are accessible and in good condition
Attend professional meetings and represent the ICG as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must be a currently enrolled student at Thomas More University
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective time management and organizational abilities
Dependable, punctual, and capable of working in a professional, business setting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Creative mindset and attention to detail
