Description:

The Department of Physics is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented undergraduate student to assist with the setup, takedown, and organization of laboratory equipment for physics courses. This work-study position offers hands-on experience in a laboratory environment and supports the smooth operation of instructional labs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up laboratory experiments and technical equipment in preparation for physics lab sessions

  • Dismantle and properly store equipment and materials following each lab session

  • Maintain organization of lab storage areas and ensure equipment is stored safely and correctly

  • Transport materials and equipment between storage areas and laboratory rooms

  • Assist faculty or staff with other lab-related tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student at Thomas More University

  • Successful completion of General Physics I and II

  • Must be in good academic standing

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions

  • Dependable, organized, and capable of working independently
