Presidential Ambassadors are a group of 8-10 students who work in the Department of Institutional Advancement to advance the mission of Thomas More University and support the vision of the Office of the President. This position will report to the Assistant Director of Alumni & Programming.

Presidential Ambassadors (PAs) are responsible for the following:

  • Assisting and staffing various alumni and donor events throughout the academic year. These are opportunities to connect and network with Thomas More community members.
  • Contacting donors to thank them for making gifts to Thomas More.
  • Supporting the annual Phonathon by making phone calls.
  • Meeting bi-annually with President Chillo to discuss the University vision and strategic plan.
  • Attending bi-annual Presidential Ambassador trainings (which includes Professional Development opportunities).

  • Other duties as assigned.

Benefits:

  • PAs are eligible to work 5-10 hours per week.
  • PAs are invited to dinner at President Chillo’s home twice per year.
  • PAs who serve two, full-year terms will receive a personalized letter of recommendation from President Chillo upon graduating from Thomas More.
  • PAs will receive bi-annual trainings and professional development.
  • PAs will receive a nametag.
Requirements:

 

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Must provide at least 3 references.
  • Must be a full-time Sophomore, Junior or Senior. *Work Study positions are available for all students.
  • Must be available to volunteer for at least 4 events per semester.
