As a Career Ambassador, students will develop a wide range of transferable skills to benefit career development. Employers are looking for more than good grades; they seek soft skills, community involvement, and service. Students will gain leadership experience that will help build resumes and graduate school applications. Career Ambassadors can earn letters of recommendation, connect to campus, and help students learn more about Thomas More University’s Institute for Career Development and Graduate School Planning (ICG).
 
Benefits:
·        Participate as a work-study or intern.
·        Potentially satisfies experiential learning graduation requirement (with advisor approval).
·        Gain skills in resume review and mock interviewing.
 
Job Expectations:
·        Participate in training and preparation.
·        Create general content for marketing materials and social media posts.
·        Support planning and management of ICG events.
·        Assist in managing ICG technology platforms.
·        Engage in phase 1 resume review.
·        Manage on-campus tabling events.
·        Speak to groups and classes about ICG services.
·        Participate in the Mock Interview Competition.
·        Assist in managing the Handshake platform.
·        Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Eligibility:
·        Enrolled as a full-time student at TMU.
·        GPA of 2.5 or above.
·        Registered as first-year or sophomore for Spring 2022 semester.
·        Exhibit leadership, initiative, dependability, discipline, and enthusiasm.
