EXS 490 Details

Course Description:

Co-requisite: EXS480. This course provides the student with an initial clinical experience in the exercise science field. Students will be placed with a clinical preceptor (i.e. personal trainer, exercise physiologist, etc.). The clinical experience can take place in a variety of settings including but not limited to off-campus health clubs or fitness centers, on-campus locations, community programs and outpatient physical therapy clinics. Students are required to complete 10 hours per week, 150 hours for the semester.
