On June 26, 2026, at 6:02 p.m, public safety officers responded to a fire alarm activiation at the Connor Convocation Center. Upon arrival, public safety officers found that the fire alarm was triggered by a detected water flow through the riser (entry point for the sprinkler system). The Edgewood Fire Department investigated and found that no water was currently flowing throught the riser or sprinklers, and deemed the alarm a false alarm possibly due to a water surge, and reset the alarm.
