Position Overview
Thomas More University seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Website Specialist to join the Marketing & Communication team. This position supports the university’s mission by managing website updates, enhancing user experience, and providing administrative support to the Associate Vice President (AVP) for Marketing & Communication. The Website Specialist will play a critical role in maintaining the university’s digital presence, directly impacting recruitment, retention, and institutional reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage website content updates, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Optimize the website for usability, functionality, and performance.
  • Support budget management and reporting activities for the Marketing & Communication team.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to process and prioritize website ticket requests efficiently.
  • Conduct regular website audits to identify and resolve issues, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Assist the AVP with administrative tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, and preparation of reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Web Design, or a related field.
  • Experience managing websites, including updating content and troubleshooting issues.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Compensation and Benefits

  • This is a full-time position with a salary range starting at $16.65 per hour.
