What You Will Do:
An Admissions Counselor plays a crucial role in the recruitment process at Thomas More University, managing a recruitment territory to help meet enrollment goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Territory Management: Implementing recruitment strategies through high school and community college visits, attending college fairs, area receptions, and events to actively engage prospective students.
Special Projects: Initiating, planning, and executing recruitment-related projects to support the university’s enrollment objectives.
Student and Family Engagement: Advising students, parents, and alumni on admissions, financial aid, scholarships, and university life, while providing personalized follow-up via various communication methods.
Application Review: Evaluating admission applications and making decisions based on students' credentials, ensuring alignment with university requirements.
Liaison and Outreach: Serving as a liaison to assigned high schools and providing admissions presentations during campus tours and off-campus events.
Reporting and Analysis: Completing reports on recruitment activities, program effectiveness, and cost analyses to enhance future efforts and outcomes.
Communications Coordination: Effectively communicating with prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, coaches, and others at Thomas More to facilitate the admissions process
The role requires strong organizational skills, relationship-building capabilities, and a deep commitment to the university's mission and enrollment goals.
