Thomas More University, located in beautiful Crestview Hills, Kentucky, invites applications for the position of Cheerleading Coach (Part-Time). The Cheerleading Coach is responsible for the leadership and administration of all aspects of the cheerleading program, including coaching, recruitment, scheduling, student development, and compliance with university and conference regulations.

The primary responsibility of a Cheerleading Coach is responsible for management of all facets of the program including, but not limited to coaching/teaching, recruiting, budget management, administration, scheduling of competitions, team travel, weekly practice sessions, community service, student development, and compliance with the conference and college rules and regulations.
This is a part-time position with a stipend of up to $8,000.

What You Will Do:
Develop a program of athlete recruitment commensurate with the aims and goals of Thomas More and appropriate for a member of the conference, Division III.
Plan and coordinate practice and game plans for intercollegiate competition.
Determine policies and procedures for team selection and athlete participation.
Make recommendations about game schedules and budget for the team.
Track the academic progress of the cheerleader student-athletes and provide appropriate advice and assistance to help insure the successful completion of each player's stated program of study.
Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising program to raise funds necessary to offset expenses associated for non-budgeted expenses and spring training trips.
Organize community service projects for the baseball team players to complete per the mission of the Thomas More Athletic Department.
A thorough understanding of the rules and regulations governing cheerleading competition at the collegiate level and adhering to the rules and standards established by Thomas More and the Conference (Division III).
Participate in Athletic Department staff meetings, functions and other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
· Safety certification required, or willing to complete if not already certified.
· Experience in coaching cheerleading teams.
· Computer literacy required.
