Dr. Jaeed Bin Saif is an Electrical Engineer and researcher with expertise spanning wireless communications, visible light communication (VLC), machine learning, underwater networking, localization, signal processing, embedded systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT). His research focuses on developing intelligent communication and localization frameworks for challenging environments, particularly underwater network connectivity using airborne VLC. His work includes localization algorithms, cross-medium channel modeling, topology optimization, and machine learning-based approaches to improve positioning accuracy and communication reliability. He has extensive experience in MATLAB-based modeling, simulation, algorithm development, machine learning, and data analysis.
Dr. Saif also has interdisciplinary experience in physiological signal processing and wearable health technologies, working with PCG, ECG, gyroscope, and temperature data for health monitoring applications. His broader research interests include machine learning, data analytics, digital signal processing, intelligent systems, embedded systems, wireless networks, network optimization, and IoT. His industry experience in 3G/4G wireless networks, packet core networks, network virtualization, and NB-IoT provides a strong foundation in enterprise technology infrastructure, technology management, data-driven network operations, and digital transformation. His scholarly work has appeared in IEEE GLOBECOM, IEEE ICC, WOCC, Photonics, Optics Communications, Radioengineering, and the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America.
