Areas of Expertise and Research Interests

Dr. Rahman has over eight years of research experience in Health Informatics. His expertise spans healthcare information systems, data quality, data analytics, and the software development life cycle. He possesses extensive experience analyzing large-scale healthcare datasets such as the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) data, All Payers Claims Data (APCD), and Home Health Compare (HHC) data. His research addresses critical challenges in healthcare information technology, focusing on improving data quality and enabling technology adoption among healthcare providers and caregivers. In addition to his academic role, he has contributed to the development of software tools utilized by federal health administration agencies. His scholarly work includes peer-reviewed conference proceedings and posters presented at prominent venues such as the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) Annual Symposium and the Mobilizing Computable Biomedical Knowledge (MCBK) annual meetings.
