Dr. Michael R. Carr II joins Thomas More University as an Assistant Professor and Director of the Marketing program. With a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of the Cumberlands and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati, his academic interests span marketing strategies in entertainment, media, and consumer behavior, with a particular focus on AI in marketing and education.
Before joining Thomas More University, Dr. C served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Cincinnati, where he taught courses such as International Marketing, Advertising Management, and Marketing Strategy for Managers. He has a robust background in both academia and industry, having held positions that range from Vice President of Marketing & Advertising at Sky Systemz to Marketing Consultant for Cincinnati and Northern KY small businesses.
Dr. Carr is also an accomplished musician known professionally as "One Man Electrical Band" or "OMEB." Over the last two decades, he has opened for iconic acts such as KISS, Motley Crue, Journey, and STYX, and collaborated with renowned artists like Vinny Appice and Todd Sucherman. His dual career in music and marketing uniquely positions him to bring a wealth of practical insights and creative energy to the classroom.
Residing in New Richmond, Ohio, with his fiancée, Sarah, stepdaughter Hayden, and their pet bird 'Guiseppi Berdi'.
