Huser joined Thomas More University in March 2024 as the coordinator of career planning in the Republic Bank Foundation Institute for Career Development and Graduate School Planning, bringing with her three years of workforce development experience. Originally from Kalamazoo, Mich., Huser moved to the Kentucky in 2013 and currently lives in Grant County. She has two cats and one dog all named after Star Wars characters (Obi, Ani, and Vayda) and enjoys reading and thrift shopping in her spare time.
Before joining the Thomas More University community, she was employed at Brighton Center and worked in the Kentucky Career Center as a talent development specialist. In that position, Huser became well acquainted with multiple emergency resources within the region. During this role, she assisted customers with obtaining credentials that allowed them to reach self-sufficiency.
Huser attended college as a non-traditional student. This experience provided her with a unique perspective to deciding a career path which she implements in her conversations with students exploring careers. Her college journey started at Gateway Community and Technical College, where she received an Associate in Arts and Applied Science before transferred to Northern Kentucky University to complete a bachelor's degree. In addition to a Bachelor of Arts in history, she focused on educational studies and public history earning a micro credential in global awareness.
