Altruism in the American Motorcycle Culture: An Exploration of Organizational Citizen Behaviors and Impression Management. A qualitative and quantitative investigation into the way the image of a motorcyclist is influenced by organizational communication behaviors from manufacturers, marketers, charities, clubs and individual riders themselves.

Additional Information

Served in the WV Army National Guard from Feb. 1984 to June 2005. Served overseas in Bosnia in 1998, and Iraq from Jan. 2004-Feb. 2005.

Worked as an announcer, production assistant, operations director, and assistant director of programming for West Virginia Public Broadcasting several times between 1985 and July 2023.

Worked at WV Bureau of Employment Programs, Workers Compensation Commission between 2000 and 2007.

Taught Public Speaking, Business Communication, and Conflict Management at the South Branch Valley Center of Shepherd College from 1988 until 1989.

At Alderson-Broaddus College I taught Broadcasting Writing, Announcing, Radio and Television Production, and Introduction to Broadcasting from 1989 until 1993.

As an adjunct, I taught Public Speaking and Television Production at WV State College, Rhetoric, Composition, and Public Speaking courses at WVU Institute of Technology, and Interpersonal, Public Speaking, Nonverbal communication, Small Group communication, and Media studies at WVU Parkersburg between 1993 and 2023.

I came to Thomas More University in August, 2023.
