Ethical leadership, teamwork, digital transformation, and mission-driven leadership
Anthony Schumacher, Ph.D., views learning as a lifelong endeavor and enjoys helping students reach their goals. He is currently the chair of Organizational Management and Ethical Leadership at Thomas More University after having served in staff and administrative capacities at the university since 2005. Schumacher’s teaching interests include ethical leadership, teamwork, digital transformation, and mission-driven leadership. He earned his doctorate in leadership with a concentration in management from the University of the Cumberlands and Master of Public Administration from Northern Kentucky University. His belief in continuous learning has led him to certifications from The Online Learning Consortium, University of Michigan, and Florida Atlantic University. He also believes in the importance of connecting classroom content to practitioner experiences.
In his free time, Schumacher enjoys fishing, helping coach his daughter’s basketball team, and watching sports on television. He has a special interest in the history of the NBA and Major League Baseball and the impact of analytics on both. He resides in Boone County with his wife, their two children, and three dogs.
