I chose Thomas More because of its commitment to the Catholic intellectual tradition, its student-centric programs, and the sense of belonging the University cultivates.
I joined Thomas More University in the fall of 2018. I am trained as a legal historian and social theorist. My teaching areas include American legal history and legal theory, with a special emphasis on American law in a global historical context. My research examines the history of international law and global capitalism. I am currently working on an article on Carl Schmitt and the contemporary resurgence of state of emergency jurisprudence.
