Additional Information

Andrew will work in collaboration with students, faculty and staff to develop a mission-centered culture and find new opportunities to integrate the Catholic identity of the college into our daily lives.  He will continue to share the values and traditions of the Sisters of Notre Dame, the Congregation of Divine Providence and the Benedictine Sister.  Andrew will continue to build a vibrant ministry and service experience for all students to strengthen their faith, develop leadership skills, encourage critical thinking and transform the lives of themselves and others.

Andrew has been happily married for sixteen years to his wife, Clare, and resides in Burlington with their seven children, five boys and two girls: Harry, Joseph, Miriam, Thomas More, John Paul, Gwendolyn, and Campion.
Andrew comes to Thomas More College with a diverse background of life and work experience.  Having grown up in “The Tall Corn State” of Iowa, he attended a local community college and transferred to a Catholic liberal arts school in Virginia, Christendom College, where he graduated with a BA in Political Science and Economics in 1998.   Between schools, he enlisted in the US Army (Reserves) National Guard as a diesel mechanic, track vehicle repairman and later specialized in the Infantry (“Stonewall Brigade,” VA).  Upon graduation from Christendom, he worked for The National Council For Adoption as an Administrative Assistant in Washington, DC and spent a year working as a legislative aide for state House-Delegate, Colonel Dick Black.  After getting married in Boston in 1999, he and Clare moved to Northern Kentucky for a job position working in the public sector.

Later, in 2003, Andrew began working at All Saints Church as Coordinator of Religious Education.  In the Fall of 2004, Andrew began working as a full-time Missionary/Community Outreach Liaison for Bessler Auto Parts, Inc. and it was in this role that he began serving the Catholic Newman Club at Northern Kentucky University.  Also within his role at Bessler Auto Parts, he worked at the Rose Garden Home Mission in Covington as the first-point of contact for neighbors in need of assistance. He also hosted a weekly radio program about parenting called, “Fatherhood Speaks, Live with Andrew Cole” for three-and a-half-years on radiomaria.us.  He continues his work in support of Campus Ministry at the Newman Club, his Coordinator of Religious Education role at his parish, and has enthusiastically embraced the call to serve as The Director of Campus Ministry at Thomas More College.  In particular, he looks forward to working with the faculty, staff and students as well as alumni to proclaiming Christ on and off campus with the spirit of collaboration, service and Catholic identity.
