Course Description:

Prerequisite: PHY 122 or PHY 241. An advanced introduction to physics associated with astronomy and cosmology. Topics will include orbital mechanics, spectroscopy, stellar interiors and evolution, galactic dynamics, the interstellar medium and cosmology. Students can expect to utilize equipment at and data from The Bank of Kentucky Observatory as part of this course.
