Course Description:
Students will learn about the development of economic thought throughout human history. While economic theories go back at least as far as Greek Philosophers, the discipline we now know as economics only really started to form in the late 1700’s whit the advent of the Industrial Revolution. The course will focus not just on the minds that developed these ideas but also the economic, political, and social contexts with economic ideas were born in.
