Course Description:
3-hour lecture, 3-hour lab. Prerequisite: BIO 102 or BIO212; 206. Corequisite: CHE 240. Concurrent requisite: BIO 330L. An exploration of the molecular and chemical basis of life. The relationship between molecular structure and function is stressed as it applies to the metabolism and reproduction of a living organism. The laboratory focuses on learning the techniques currently used in the field of biochemistry.
